Note that some families are currently dead-ends, while others sail back in time, including one that goes to the beginning of the 1500s. For example, the Lowe branch ends abruptly because we know nothing about Joseph Henry's family other than his father's name. JH's birth record has not been found, which would provide the name of his mother and then the family could be identified in the census. Without that birth record, there is no way to move back a generation. In some cases it is a lack of records, but generally it is simply a lack of enough information to identify any ancestors in a branch from the available records.
